Auntie Pasto’s Italian Restaurant

Project Date: June 2017 - January 2019

Building the new space for a longtime Bellaire staple.

Auntie Pasto’s has been in Bellaire for almost 30 years and anyone who lives in Bellaire knows about Auntie Pasto’s. Auntie Pasto’s had been in its previous space for 28 years until the landlord decided to redevelop the land, thus making owner Joel Dickinson forced to find a new space.

Timing

Time was of the essence as Auntie Pasto’s lease was expiring and the restaurant could not afford to be shut down for an extended period of time. Joel was committed to ensuring his customers would not go without his cuisine and that his dedicated employees would be able to stay busy with work. Luria began in project in August 2019 and completed in December 2019.

Converted Retail Space into a Restaurant

The space that Auntie Pasto’s occupied was a former radio shack, which posed the challenge that Luria met by adding the additional needs that a restaurant requires that retail spaces are not equipped with.

What We Accomplished

  • Installed the necessary hood vent system for the kitchen.

  • Installed the necessary plumbing required for a restaurant. (Work was performed by a licensed plumber)

  • Converted a retail space into a restaurant.

  • Built a custom bar with ample space for the employees to tend bar while providing the comforts to the regular patrons.

  • Installed a new store front
